Use the 3-Layer System

Instead of one thick coat, use three layers: base (moisture-wicking), mid (insulating), shell (wind/water resistant). This keeps you dry, warm, and mobile.

Base layer: Polyester or merino wool – NO cotton (cotton stays wet and cold).

Mid layer: Fleece, wool, or synthetic insulation like 3M Thinsulate – traps body heat.

Outer layer: Windproof, water-resistant softshell or PU-coated Oxford – blocks snow and wind.
Add High-Visibility Reflective Elements
Winter days are short. Security guards need to be seen. Choose uniforms with 360° reflective tape (front, back, sides) in silver or fluorescent colors. This meets safety standards for parking lots, roadsides, and night patrols.
Choose a Detachable Inner Lining

A zip-out fleece liner turns one jacket into three-season wear. Use the liner for winter warmth, remove it for spring/fall. This saves cost and storage space.

Liner fill: ≥250g/m² polyester fleece or thermal cotton.

Look for separate pockets on the liner – so it works as a stand-alone jacket.
